Hendre Lake
Hendre Lake Park is a stunning green space that has been colonised by a wide variety of bird, animal and plant life. It has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest
Cath Cobb Woods
An ancient wood that has persisted since 1600 in Wales. Relatively undisturbed by human development with unique and complex communities of plants, fungi, insects and other microorganisms.
Business Park Pond
Located in a landscaped setting in
St. Mellons Business Park, one of the first business parks built in Cardiff.
Beautiful shaded pond surrounded by trees such as Willow and Dogwood .
Beech Tree Park
Located on the east side of William Nicholls Drive Old St.Mellons .
Shaded pond provides a wildlife haven with wild plants such purple-loosestrife forming dense stands of bright purple flower spikes.
Heritage Park
Located adjacent to Willowbrook Drive, a lovely park with a childrens play area.
A favourite with local people to meet and let the children have fun .

Cath Cobb Playing Fields
Large flat open grassed area provides football pitches for local teams.

Surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, a very popular open space for dog walkers .
ABC Bike Park
Previously a playground and bike park but now in a poor state of repair. Part of the open space was allocated for developers, resulting in the Council receiving money to improve the remaining park .
Orchard Park
Beautiful open space meadow surrounded by well established trees such as the Weeping Willow. The park has a sheltered stream of water which is a wildlife haven .
