Four-spotted Chaser

(Libellula quadrimaculata)

Prefered habitat -

​

Found at the margins of shallow ponds and lakes with good vegetation and some open water.

Local Site -

Hendre Lake   Business Park Pond

Brown dragonfly of length  39-48mm  that takes flight from April-September. Males and females both look alike, brown abdomen becomes darker towards the rear with a row of yellow spots along each side & two dark spots on each wing.
